Counseling Psychologist
Lisa is a practicing psychotherapist with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. She works with adults navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, suicidal ideations, and emotional dysregulation.
Lisa aims to create an inclusive and empowering space for her clients where they feel seen, heard, and respected. Such spaces build a sense of safety where individuals can learn, unlearn, cope, and grow. She believes that therapy is a collaborative journey, rooted in the understanding that clients are the experts of their own lives.
She has an eclectic approach and works from an intersectional and queer affirmative lens, with an understanding of how systemic failures and structural oppression can add to personal distress and shape one’s emotional and psychological experiences.
"Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion," a quote by bell hooks that Lisa adheres to. She believes that humans are designed to be interdependent. Our society would flourish if we shifted our focus from being independent to being more interdependent. She sees the world as an interplay between individuals and believes that one of the ways to thrive here is largely dependent on our ability to be interdependent.
